NOTD - Ted Baker and Studs

Hi Glossies! I hope you're all well and had a lovely weekend. The sun has been shining where I live today and I had the day off work so it's been a real treat. I haven't had anything exciting on my nails for a few weeks now so I thought I'd do something a little more fun. In a previous post (here) I mentioned that a while back my Auntie had given me a few nail polishes as she gets her own nails done at the salon. Along with two Estee Lauder polishes she also gave me a polish from Ted Baker. It doesn't have a name or a number but in the bottle it has a likeness to Barry M Mushroom. Two coats on the nails and it looks more of a milk chocolate colour.

I started by painting 2 coats of OPI Nail Envy on all my nails. My nails have been worse the past couple of months than they have in years, they just keep breaking. So I had to file them all really short and thought I'd buy some of this to help them on their way as I've been wanting to try it for ages anyway. It is definitely speeding up the growing process and works as a great Base Coat.

Next I painted two coats of the Ted Baker polish on all my nails, leaving 10 minutes drying time between coats. I was impressed that it was opaque after 2 as I thought it would need 3. Then I applied my Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat. To bling them up a bit I added some studs that I bought from the Born Pretty Store (here). I dabbed a little bit of Top Coat at the base of each nail and then used a cocktail stick dipped in Top Coat to pick each stud up. I placed the stud onto my nail at an angle. Once I had applied one stud to each nail I covered the whole nail in another layer of Top Coat to seal the studs on.

So there we go, simple yet eye catching. And when asked a guy's opinion I was told they made him think of chocolate. Ha! I've had pastel colours on my nails for the last few weeks so it's nice to be wearing something neutral. I love the studs but not sure how they will survive the next few days! The formulation of the Ted Baker polish is really nice, I would definitely buy more of them. Have you got any polishes from there? Have you tried out nail studs before? Leave me a comment below and let me know how you got on with them. I hope you enjoyed and thank you for reading xxx
